Anawan Farm Compost Initiative 2024

Help us reduce your waste and reduce the waste in our local landfills. Bring your leaves and your food scraps to Anawan Farm.

Join our initiative today!

Our objective is to take your waste free of charge which in turn alleviates the amount of waste dumped at our landfills. Your waste will be used to create nutrient rich compost for our fields.

We can, during certain periods of down time on our farm, give composting presentation to Girl Scout Troops, Boy Scout Troops, Schools, or other non-profit institutions. For more information, please contact compost@anawanfarm.com for more program information.

Attention LandscapersLeaves, Leaves, and More Leaves!

We are interested in obtaining obscene amounts of leaves and wood chips for our composting initiative. If you have leaves from your winter cleanups, we have a spot for you!

Contact compost@anawanfarm.com or text: 401-486-5281 to schedule a drop off time slot.

Where can I drop off?

We will meet you at the front of the farm the first time and show you where you can continue to drop your compost additions.

Please place the proper material in the proper area.

What can I use to collect our food waste?

You may utilize one of our green 5 gallon buckets from the farm to collect your food waste. We charge $5 for the bucket which is the cost of the bucket. We place our logo on the bucket. It will let you know the "green" bucket is for food waste. Or fill your own bucket and dump in our area allotted for food waste.

Homeowners. We want your leaves & leaves only!

We will take them bagged in brown paper lawn bags or dropped off via the truckload.
